To ensure smooth operation, k.ride driver requires the following access permissions. You cannot use the service if you don't grant these permissions.
Location: Essential for receiving on-demand ride requests from nearby passengers based on your current location and displaying your vehicle's position on the in-app map.
Background Location: Essential for uninterrupted service features (like dispatching on-demand ride requests from nearby passengers, calculating distances) even when you're using other apps while k.ride driver is active.
Notifications: Essential for receiving various necessary alerts such as scheduled ride requests, call cancellations, and messages, ensuring smooth service usage without missing updates.
Phone: Essential for importing your mobile phone number for authentication when using k.ride driver, and for making calls to passengers.
Camera: Essential for taking photos to register your profile or for taking photos during chats with passengers.
Photos/Storage Space: Essential for importing photos to register your profile or for sending photos during chats with passengers.
Display over other apps: Essential for quickly returning to the k.ride driver app or chatting with passengers while using other apps.
