What is 24 Festival Drum ?
24 Festival Drums is write 24 seasons on the 24 single percussions by using calligraphy. Long time ago, China is a agricultural society, our ancestors observed astrology from their farming and what they felt to the nature. Every 15 days to find out a seasonal, 2 seasons in a month, a total of 24 seasons in a year. Therefore, 24 seasons had compiled into 24 Festival Drums. Every time we drumming, it feels like a traditional seasons calling us from heart and the pulse. Our ancestors had inherited a very colorful traditional culture in our life. Drumming is a festival of sound, is a traditional drum pulse. As we drumming, it also like we continue to inherit the precious culture to the next generation as well as we never forget the cultural. Nowadays, you can easily watch the performance of 24 festival drum in Asia as their important bouquet or in many large event.

廿四節令鼓，又稱二十四節令鼓，是馬來西亞華人陳再籓和陳徽崇於1988年聯合創作的一種鼓樂表演。2009年，廿四節令鼓被列為馬來西亞非物質文化遺產 。鼓，是一種打擊樂器。中國與古埃及、古印度等國同為世界上鼓的最早發源地。

我國最早的鼓是用陶土做的，有七千多年歷史。相傳後來黃帝征服蚩尤的涿鹿之戰中，得到一只神獸夔，這個怪物只有一條腿，結果“黃帝殺夔，以其皮為鼓，聲聞五百”。這是最早使用獸皮做鼓的記載。其實上古時代的戰鼓，都是由兇猛的鱷魚皮製成，不僅聲音洪亮，傳遞遠方，還有氣勢和桀驁不馴的象征，是一種征服的力量。

古代關於“鼓”的成語，輕松可以查到有一鼓作氣、鼓足幹勁、偃旗息鼓、扯鼓奪旗、緊鑼密鼓等一百多條，鼓是中華民族精神的直接表達。

鼓在中華民族歷史進程中起到了非常重要的作用，不僅用於軍事提升士氣、震撼敵膽，還在禮樂、祭祀、報警、喜慶，甚至龍舟、驅野獸等，是傳統文化的重要組成部分。
二十四節令鼓

廿四節令鼓，內容以中國傳統二十四節令為創意，結合南方廣東獅鼓和傳統書法藝術的特點，氣勢磅礴，鼓舞人心。

1988年4月，世界首支廿四節令鼓隊，由馬來西亞新山中華公會，聯合潮州、福建、客家、廣東和海南五大會館出資，在寬柔中學成立。

1997年7月1日，中國首支廿四節令鼓隊，在福建省泉州市華僑大學成立。

廿四節令鼓是對中華文明的繼承和創造，如今“二十四節令鼓”已成為在亞洲華人世界許多大型節慶、宴會的重要表演環節。除了在馬來西亞深耕，還在世界各地開花，也屢屢登上大雅之堂，國際舞臺和賽場，他們回到祖國在炎帝陵前敲響，也跨越太平洋震撼美國NBA賽場，鼓動世界，擂響乾坤。
