보보(保報)는 대한민국을 지키고(지킬 보: 保), 희생과 공헌에 보답한다(갚을보:報)는 의미로 안보와 보훈이 동전의 양면과 같다는 것을 함축하고 있습니다.
나라사랑 큰나무의 요소(새싹·파랑새·태극무늬)를 활용하여 제작된 보보,
새싹과 파랑 망토는 자유와 내일에 대한 희망을,
태극무늬는 국가를 위해 희생·공헌한 분들의 애국심을 상징합니다.
